The Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS)
Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) is a country chapter of the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS) in Uganda. It is a forum that brings together a wide range of actors involved in Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (AEAS) in Uganda. UFAAS was launched in May 2011 and is registered in Uganda. AFAAS is the umbrella network organisation for AEAS in Africa. It operates within the framework of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP), with a focus to Pillar IV.
ACTORS
UFAAS brings together a broad range of actors in AEAS from all sectors which include the Public sector, Academia, Private sector, Civil Society, Farmer Organizations, Donor Community and Media.
VISION
UFAAS Vision is “Quality AEAS effectively contributing to agricultural development in Uganda”.
MISSION
To promote an effective, efficient and innovative AEAS system through advocacy, capacity building, information sharing and increased professional development among AEAS actors in Uganda.
OBJECTIVES
I. To establish and sustain an effective platform for Agricultural Extension and AdvisoryServices(AEAS) in Uganda
II.To promote professional development, information sharing and networking among AEAS actors.
III.To build capacity of AEAS systems to provide innovative and client-orientated services.IV. To promote professionalism and ethical conduct in AEAS systems in Uganda.
IV.To advocate and lobby for an enabling environment for AEAS in Uganda

Virtual Social Networking Platform
AFAAS (the continental Forum) established a virtual social networking platform for AEAS actors from member countries, to interact and discuss different issues. The platform also has a function where members ask questions which are debated or referred to experts on the particular topic for a response.
